Effective Date: November 7, 2025 Compliance Note: This policy aims to be consistent with general data protection principles, acknowledging the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) of Sri Lanka.
1. Personal Data Collected
We collect the following “Personal Data” and “Special Categories of Personal Data” to operate the platform and facilitate client introductions:
- Identity & Contact Data: Full Legal Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Contact Number, Email Address, Guardian details (for minors).
- Profile Data: Stage Name, Physical measurements, skin tone categories (considered a Special Category of Data).
- Media Data: Photographs, videos, and portfolio links.
- Financial Data: Information related to the non-refundable registration fee payment.
2. Lawful Basis and Use of Data (PDPA Principles)
We process your Personal Data based on your Consent and for the purpose of Contractual Necessity (providing the service).
- Public Profile & Promotion: We use Candidate media, Stage Name, and basic profile data to create a public, searchable portfolio.
- Client Introduction: We use your data to vet and match you with potential Clients.
- Consent for Contact Sharing: We will only share a Candidate’s direct contact details (Phone/WhatsApp/Email) with a Client after receiving the Candidate’s (or Guardian’s) specific, explicit, and written consent for that singular introduction.
3. Candidate Rights
Candidates (or their Guardians) have the right to:
- Withdraw Consent: At any time, withdraw consent for the public display of their profile or for sharing contact information (must be done in writing to hello@nextmodel.lk).
- Right to Access: Request access to the Personal Data we hold about them.
- Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate Personal Data.
4. Media & Publication Consent
- The publication of all Candidate media (photos/videos) on the NextModel.lk website and social media platforms requires the Candidate’s explicit, prior written consent (Media Release Agreement).
5. Security and Data Retention
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your Personal Data against unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction. We will retain your data for the duration of your membership and for a reasonable period thereafter as required by law.
